Our story began with a Spongebob umbrella. Kidding, sort of. Our story actually began with our mutual friend, Jenn, inviting us both to a Luke Bryan concert one fateful day in May. That same day, Kyle had told his company that he was moving back to Ohio and he was ready to par-tay. Enter Kyle dancing with a Spongebob umbrella (YES footage of this does exist). Contrary to what Kyle will tell you, it was NOT his dance moves that made Courtney fall for him that day -- it was his fun-loving nature (among other things she learned). Both Kyle and Courtney noticed each other at the concert, but being the somewhat shy people that they are, neither of them wanted to make the first move. Thankfully, Jenn was there to facilitate and the rest is history...sort of. Kyle did move back to Ohio, but he and Courtney continued to date long-distance before Kyle took the plunge and moved back to DC for round two. Courtney and Kyle found an apartment together, introduced their lovable dog and diva cat, and on September 14, 2019, Kyle popped the question to Courtney in front of the Reflecting Pool.
