Maid of Honor
Meg's A1 since Day 1 (of college). Will also respond to: Liz, Lizard, Lobko, Lobz, Lobster, Princess, or "THEY'RE PLAYING I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY, IT'S TIME!"
Best Man
David still hasn't gotten over being "replaced" by Christian. Even so, David couldn't ask for a better brother. Just don't let him hop off the ski lift in front of you!
Bridesmaid
If you hear Meg & Liz refer to each other as "bubbles & batches" over the course of the evening, mind ya business. Don't tell our husbands (who also rowed together in college) that we painstakingly collaborated on every text we sent them when we were dating.
Groomsman
He may be standing on Dave's side, but Ryan has known both the bride and groom for almost two decades. Mutual love of Jazz (Ryan’s nickname, not the music) might be the whole reason we became friends in the first place, so really, this whole thing is his fault!
Bridesmaid
Chelsea and Meg go way back - as in roughly 25 years - but the friendship really blossomed when we bonded over insane "learn to row" instructions, love of all things Will Ferrell, and a shared inability to stop eating when we're full.
Groomsman
Dan and Dave go all the way back to freshman year homeroom at Chaminade, in their lightweight rowing days. Dan has had Dave’s back for 20 years both on and off of the water, but mostly off the water these days; we can’t seem to pry Dan away from the ponies for too long, he might miss one of his win.
Bridesmaid
Actual name: Trish. Nickname: Shmish. Alter ego: Sherry. Shmish and Meg have a few key shared interests, including but not limited to: never leaving the dance floor, face masks, and Dave's hair. If you're here to learn about Sherry's interests, don't ask, she can't tell you.
Groomsman
While David and Brendan met rowing at Chaminade, it was their love of all things that go bang that really made them close. Some play golf. Some play bridge. These two like to shoot while they shoot the s***.
Bridesmaid
The best sister-in-law a gal could ask for. Meg knew Katie was a keeper when they started exchanging (very excellent) Andre the Giant impressions upon first meeting. Anybody wanna peanut?
Groomsman
Another longtime friend of both the bride and groom, and another NYAC rower. Bonds forged on the lagoon will never be broken. Sal's calming presence as a teammate, roommate, and friend helped keep us sane in some rather insane times; our 20s.
