We frequent Jack’s Place Bistro often. Kayla gets the seasonal scrambler and Josh changes it up every time.

La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant
Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area! Josh gets a large steak benji (not on the menu) and Kayla gets a taco salad.
Rick's Barbecue
We love Rick’s! Josh especially loves the fruit tea and Kayla always gets a pork plate!
Dandelion & Co Tea and Coffee Bar
Kayla gets Dandelion multiple times a week… every week. We have gotten to know the staff and they know Kayla’s usual order— a large latte with light mocha, 2 stevia packets, and coconut milk!
Rivertown Coffee
Another coffee shop that Kayla loves! Rivertown and Kayla go way back to her younger days. When Kayla performed in musicals/theatre at the Shoals Theatre she would go over to Rivertown for coffee and snacks. Her go to is a large latte with light hazelnut syrup and coconut milk and a daybreak omelet with a side of fruit.
TVA Rockpile Recreation Area
There are plenty of hiking trails and gorgeous views! We have enjoyed hiking and looking for critters! There are plenty of salamanders to be found here!
Wildwood Park
We’ve enjoyed hiking and kayaking at the park!
McFarland Park
This is the park we got engaged at! We have gone fishing and just walked the bank, enjoying the view of the Tennessee River!
Lion Habitat at the University of North Alabama
Our Alma Mater has a live mascot, Leo III! You can take a stroll through campus and visit the lion habitat!
