Question

What is the suggested attire?

Answer

We welcome our guests to join us in colorful beach semi-formal attire. We want our guests to be comfortable, and while the ceremony and reception spaces are air-conditioned, please be prepared for plenty of warm weather and sunshine. Men, feel free to leave your suit and tie at home!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please include any allergy information, and if you would like to discuss further please contact Rachael with any concerns regarding food allergies. We will make sure there are options for you to enjoy.

Question

Do visitors from the US need to convert currency?

Answer

No, the US dollar is one of two official currencies of Panama.

Question

Will my US phone charger/curling iron/etc work in Panama?

Answer

Yes! Panama uses the same electricity and plugs as the US. No adaptors are necessary.

Question

What else is required for a US citizen to travel to Panama?

Answer

US citizens need a passport with blank pages that is valid for at least 3 months after date of entry in order to visit Panama. You may also need to show proof of a return ticket as well as economic solvency of $500 USD (this can be cash, a credit card, a bank statement, or a traveler's check). When going through customs, have the address of your hotel on hand as well. For further information, please visit the US State Department Website: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages/Panama.html

Question

Will I need to rent a car?

Answer

For getting around Panama City, Uber and taxis services are available. We will be arranging shuttles for guests from Panama City to Buenaventura, but there will be other transportation options available through the resort as well depending on your travel plans. Once you are at the resort, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all walkable. The resort will provide rides for guests who would prefer not to walk.
