Great! We can't wait to spend the weekend with you. We've personally reserved all of the available cottages at Angel Rock and we'll be stragetically putting close friends and family in cottages together. Please let us know ASAP if you'll be staying for the 3 day weekend and if you have a preference on who you'll be staying with. While we'd love for everyone to have their own cottage, there are a minimal number of 1 bedroom cottages therefore we're kindly asking guests to shake up and have a good old fashioned holiday weekend with their close friends/family :) Please let Brittany and/or Dustin know if you plan to stay at the cottages and we will let you know the price for the 3-night stay (ranging from $219-416/couple for all 3 nights) base on which cottage you will be staying with the number of bedrooms needed.
Check-in is at 2pm on Friday, September 2nd and check-out is at 11am, Monday, September 5th
The cottages will all have full kitchens and outdoor grills/bbq's (for the Canadians) so we recommend guests bringing their own drinks, food and snacks to enjoy as much time at the cottages on the water as possible! The cottages do not supply towels, please bring your own bath and beach towels. The cottages are also on the waterfront so if you have kayak's, paddleboards, fishing poles, etc feel free to bring them and take advantage of our incredible venue! There is a grocery store in Alex Bay just past the border crossing (Price Chopper) and Aubrey's that is within 5 miles of the cottages incase anything is forgotten along with a coffee shop and restaurants.
There is a coffee shop just next door to Angel Rock Cottages called The Red Gerranium that also sells snacks and breakfast sandwiches, this is a great morning walk! There are fantastic restaurants in Cape Vincent, just 5 miles down the road including The Coal Docks, Crave, Ann's Fisherman's Fare and one of our favorites Cape Vincent Brewing Company! There are also plenty of bars and restaurants in Clayton, NY just 10 minutes away and Alex Bay about 15 minutes away.
One of the biggest reasons we chose Angel Rock is because of how much there is to do without ever having to get in your car. While staying at the cottages, you'll have access to the in-ground pool, waterfront docks, shuffleboard, beach volleyball, and kayak/paddleboard rentals. We also encourage guests to bring their favorite outdoor games ... because we all know how competitive the Walsh AND Usmail families can get! We promise you won't be bored!
The ceremony will be held outside, weather permitting, and the reception will be inside. In the event of inclement weather, both will take place in the big red barn.
The ceremony will take place at 3pm, for guests walking, we suggest leaving Angel Rock around 2:15pm. We will have beer and non-alcoholic beverages available to grab prior to the start of the ceremony in the front yard of the Usmail house between 2:30-2:45, we do ask guests to be seated (with the optional drink in hand) by 2:45. Please be aware, bathrooms will only be available on an emergency basis ... so we don't suggest shotgunning :D
At the moment, we do not have transportation set-up to the ceremony due to the extremely close proximity to Angel Rock. Based on the number of guests staying at the hotels in Sackett's Harbor, this may be re-evaluated! Another reason the Thousand Islands are the best, there is a free car service called "The Chug Wagon" that works on tips to drive those home or to their hotel that may be impaired. We will provide guests with the Chug Wagon phone number, please don't forget to generously tip if you utilize this service!
While there isn't a hotel in Cape Vincent, there are hotels available approximately 20 miles away in Sackett's Harbor. We have reserved a few rooms at a $120-220 nightly rate. If you are thinking you'd like to stay in one of the two hotels, please let Brittany or Dustin know ASAP. We do not currently have a room block available and suggest utilizing Hotels.com or the direct website of the accommodations. We do also suggest checking Airbnb and VRBO.
