We're getting married!

Our story begins in our hometown, where we spent our childhoods attending the same school district from kindergarten through 12th grade. Though we grew up in the same community, it wasn’t until the final stretch of high school that we discovered a deeper connection. Just as we were about to graduate, we started dating (much to everyone’s surprise). What began as young love quickly grew into something much more meaningful as we prepared to take on different college paths. Distance could have been a challenge, but it only made our bond stronger. Throughout our college years, we cherished every moment together during breaks and holidays. It often felt like the best of both worlds: the excitement of independence at school, and the comfort of knowing we had a go-to person for support. Then, in an unexpected twist, the world changed. When classes moved online during the COVID-19 pandemic, Molly returned home for a few months and we found ourselves living near each other again. In that quiet and uncertain time, we rediscovered how perfectly we fit together, finding comfort in each other’s presence and realizing just how much we truly valued our time together. As life unfolded, Molly completed her final year of college in Philadelphia, while Sam moved to the city for his first job. For the first time in five years, we were living in the same place full-time and life felt really good. But soon after, a dream opportunity took Sam to Virginia for two years, while Molly stayed in Philly to build her career. Even through the distance, we stayed strong and found new ways to connect, and support each other, to keep our relationship thriving. Special thanks to Molly’s parents, Mike and Mary, for graciously letting us use their beach house as a halfway point for visits. Those weekends became our escape; making the miles feel shorter and the memories even sweeter. Finally, after years of long-distance love, our story came full circle when Sam moved back to Philadelphia. After seven years together, countless miles, and so many meaningful moments, we joyfully moved in together and started creating a home filled with love, laughter, and dreams of the future. Our journey took a magical turn during a work trip to Italy, where Sam surprised Molly with a getaway to Lake Como. In a charming Airbnb overlooking the water, he asked the question—and Molly said yes. In that moment, we knew that no matter where life takes us, we will always choose each other. As we celebrate our wedding day, we’re overjoyed that it falls on our ten-year dating anniversary. It feels like a beautiful bit of serendipity that this date became available during wedding planning—an extra-special way to honor a decade of love, growth, and everything we've shared. We can’t wait to celebrate this day with all of you. Each of you has played a part in our story, from cheering us on to lifting us up.
