Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alexa Wallerstein and Dylan Lawson
Images of hippies, tie-dyed shirts, and free love at a three-day outdoor music festival may come to mind when you hear the name "Woodstock". The festival was actually held a few miles away in Bethel. Despite this, Woodstock continued to grow in popularity as a bohemian haven. Though the forces of change took some time to sweep through town, Woodstock's ever-changing Main Street now boasts a slew of new and interesting shops, eateries, and lodging. The town is currently experiencing a renaissance, with a wave of New York City creatives moving to the area, renovating old inns and motels and opening new restaurants, bars, breweries, and businesses. Spend an afternoon exploring the historical town of Woodstock. In Woodstock and neighboring towns, you can sample local brews and bites or go for a hike on one of the many, beautiful trails.
