How did we meet, fall in love, and get to the stage in our lives as finally becoming one? Well, the story would change depending on the story teller. Let Ray tell it, he would say, “She’s been liking me since we were 5 years old.” (Don’t believe his hide and seek story!) If you were to ask Chelsie, she would say, “He’s been after me since high school! He begged me for my number, so I finally gave him a chance!” (That led to him almost getting him shot! Another crazy story!) Anyways, yep! The latter part of the story is the most accurate. Don’t let Ray tell you any different! While we did exchange numbers in high school, we ended up going our separate ways for college. We reconnected a few years later, but it was Ray’s dad who was the ringleader of this all! One day he just randomly blurts out, “So Dear, when are you going to Tennessee?” Next thing you know, flights were booked! Right before a return flight back to Florida on 1/5/15 (one five one five), we made it official! . Our first 2 years of our relationship were long distance. Of course, multiple flights and road trips took place. Thank God for traveling mercies. Ray returned home in 2017. A year later our lives would change forever. May 18, 2018 at 11:29 am, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Kyla. We ended up relocating to Tampa and starting our life as a family. The rest is history! God has been so good, faithful, and merciful to us. College degrees. Job promotions. ENGAGEMENT! And most recently, homeowners! Those are just a few of our highlights. We are so grateful for God’s faithfulness to us. It is because of Him that we can experience this journey with our closest family, friends, and loved ones. Everyone has played their own unique roles in our lives. No matter how big or small your role may have been, we thank you! Thank you all for being apart of our love story.
