Best Woman
Lexie came into my life through Larry, the man she happily married. It's tough to fit the full impact someone has into just a couple of sentences, so I'll let her tell you herself during her speech. From pickleball partner to DPAC season ticket partner Lexie proves the fact that it’s never too late to meet a lifelong friend.
Maid of Honor
Robyn and Sloane met junior year of high school when Sloane moved to Maryland. At that first meeting, Robyn was sure she wouldn’t be friends with Sloane, and she’s never been happier to have been wrong. 19 years later, they're still the first person the other would call to bury a body

My friendship with Larry began freshman year at ECU (East Carolina University). He was a high school buddy of Kurt's, and my very first memory of him is unforgettable: he showed up cruising on a Razor scooter. From that first impression, we've shared countless years and adventures. We've made many memories along the way—and probably lost just as many. He's been an incredibly constant and awesome part of my life.

Robyn and Ari met during college orientation and kept running into each other on campus because of mutual connections all of freshman year. Ari joined the water polo team sophomore year, and their friendship was solidified. Senior year, they reached the pinnacle of friendship, college roommates. They’ve been on many adventures living in DC and traveling the world together and remain the best of friends.

Edith came into my life as the connector, the person who seemed to know everyone. But she quickly became someone I was genuinely lucky to count as a close friend. Trust me, if there's a secret, she's keeping it, and for any adventure, she's the perfect partner in crime.

Robyn was friends with Chelsea’s dad, Steve, before even meeting Chelsea. Steve started bringing Chelsea to workouts with him, and Robyn decided she wanted to be friends with her, so now they’re best friends. Robyn often just shows up at Chelsea’s house to sit around for hours, and Chelsea always waves to Robyn when she drives by to get to her parents’ house.

Kurt and I go way back to freshman year at ECU, when he lived just down the hall from me. From that really humble beginning, through living together in college and even after, it's been absolutely fantastic having a friend like him to navigate all of life's different stages with.

Mac and Robyn met doing an outdoor workout class and had to wear so many layers the first winter trying to keep warm that they didn’t actually know what the other looked like in real life. They’ve since moved their workouts inside and their friendship outside of the gym. Mac is the person that hears every detail, important or not, in Robyn's day. Mac is also the official design consultant for the wedding.

Kevin and I found each other through the larger ECU crowd, even though our paths didn't really cross when we were actually in college. It wasn't until we became roommates later in life that our friendship truly took off. I'm genuinely so happy to call him a close friend now.
Bridesmaid
Robyn and Haley met going into freshman year of high school. They spent every morning sitting on the hallway floor talking before school because their dads dropped them off 45 minutes early. Today, those catch-ups look more like long phone calls and visits, but Haley is still the person Robyn can count on for pretty much anything, including one of Haley’s famous corny jokes.

From Vegas trips and bachelor trips Morgan has quickly become both a great travel partner and friend. While she had an unfortunate set back in life and had to settle for NC State, she has quickly become a fellow Pirate to me.

During the first week of college, Nicole decided to walk into every dorm and introduce herself to the people who happened to be in each common room. Luckily, Robyn was one of those people. They awkwardly pretended not to know each other until late the following year when they signed up for a spring break trip together and acknowledged they did, in fact, remember each other. The next fall, they studied abroad in Madrid together, and Nicole’s fate as Robyn’s go-to international travel buddy was sealed. They’ve been on multiple trips together and also spend lots of time together in Durham.
