Hi Family and Friends! Davis and I pushed our wedding date back because of COVID19. We are hoping that a summer full of fun in the sun and vaccines will help us celebrate in the best, but safest way we know how. Originally the Saturday date for our new wedding weekend was not available and we chose 8/22/21 as our new date. Luckily, the Saturday date became available and we snatched it! So 8/21/21 is the big day! Dress to impress, but remember that August in the South can be hotter than 40 hells! We look forward to celebrating with you!
We both were out at a bar with some friends on the Wednesday before Christmas in 2016. Just to set the scene, we were the only 7 people in the bar other than the bartenders. We struck up a conversation about school and I was excited to find out that Davis graduated in 2012, like me! Little did I know he meant high school, but that was quickly clarified and I nearly spit out my drink. Luckily Davis was extra charming that evening and continued to lay it on thick. Later that night we shared our first kiss and the rest has been history!
After a weekend away together, I was finally able to get our two families together in the new pandemic entrenched world we all are facing. The moment was perfect as we pulled up to her parent's house while our families anxiously waited inside. I had mostly been able to keep the proposal a secret, but she claims that she could see the ring box in my left pocket and that tipped her off. Luckily she said yes and we are so excited to celebrate with you all on April 24th in Winston-Salem, where it all began for Walker and I!
