Question

Is there parking or transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes. Please note: free parking will be at the Essex Steam Train at 1 Railroad Avenue, Essex, CT. All guests will travel via the train to the wedding venue. See the 'Schedule' tab for more information.

What color will the bridesmaids dresses be?

Answer

Terracotta/rust.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please see the tab above labeled 'Registry'. We are registered directly through Zola. There is also an option to contribute towards our honeymoon fund.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely. Please note the "vegetarian" dinner option is a Paella that is vegan and gluten free. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please make note of that in your RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes. Children are welcome and are included in your RSVP. Though, we do encourage finding childcare so parents can enjoy the night! Macaroni and cheese will be provided as the dinner option for your little one(s) under 10 years of age.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony. This just means that we kindly ask for all phones and devices to be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We will have a professional photographer and a videographer to capture the day. This is to ensure that no phones will be blocking any moments for them to capture. Please feel free to take photos/videos after the ceremony!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

There are many hotel options near the venue. Please view the 'Things to Do' tab for suggestions on places to stay as well as other fun things to do in the area.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the guest(s) included in your RSVP.

Is there a COVID-19 mask requirement? Will they be provided?

Answer

At this time there will be no mask requirement and none will be provided. We will monitor the COVID-19 situation and be sure to update guests if anything changes.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors? What can we expect the weather to be like?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) and the reception will be indoors. The temperature in early October Connecticut is usually mild (mid to high 60s) but please keep in mind that it could be windy as the venue is located on the Connecticut River.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP on our wedding website by September 4th. There will not be an option in the invitation itself to mail back an RSVP card.

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “decline” so we can plan accordingly.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! We encourage guests to take pictures (after the ceremony) and post on to their social media. Our only request is that you tag us both or one of us so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
