We met through mutual friends at community college in 2017. The first time we met, we bonded over our shared love of a lesser-known Christian rock band and figured the other person was probably pretty cool, so we decided to be friends. We parted ways for a while after transferring to different universities and later reconnected due to life circumstances, most notably the global pandemic. After countless phone and video calls and many creative outdoor meetups, we became a couple on July 1, 2020. We got engaged 15 months later on October 2, 2021 at Simmons Farm near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after getting out of a corn maze together! We are so grateful to God for giving us each other, and we are so excited to spend our special day with our loved ones!
1. Madison strongly disliked country music until she met Walker. Slowly but surely, it began to grow on her after Walker would play it for her. She now gladly listens to it all on her own! 2. Madison loves the winter and Walker loves the summer. However, we both love outdoor activities and going on adventures together. Madison has taught Walker how to ski and Walker has taught Madison all about kayaking and other aquatic activities! 3. Madison and Walker love psychology and personality tests. If you know about the Myers-Briggs personality test, Madison is an INFP and Walker is an INFJ. A match made in heaven! 4. Walker is a board game enthusiast and will gladly play any board or card game anytime, anywhere, with anyone. Especially ones involving strategy! 5. Madison is in college majoring in nursing and minoring in psychology. Walker graduated with his bachelor's degree in integrated social studies with a minor in history. He is currently getting his master's degree and works as a high school social studies teacher. 6. Madison is often teaching Walker about different medical terms and types of food, while Walker is usually teaching Madison about different historical facts, the stock market, or the NFL. 7. Walker picked out Madison's engagement ring and bought the first one he was drawn to. We later found out that the diamond on the ring was cut on our 1-year dating anniversary (July 1, 2021) which made it even more special! 8. Walker doesn't usually enjoy sweet things (like chocolate or candy) but Madison is the one exception! 9. You can usually find us at one of two restaurants: Texas Roadhouse or Chick-Fil-A 10. Walker's favorite holiday is Halloween and Madison's favorite holiday is Christmas! We love seeing how excited the other person gets before their favorite holiday.
