Well…it all begin 7 years ago. In May of 2015, Kylie switched to a new church with her cousin, and became acquainted with the youth group. That summer, Kylie participated in the Summer Kids Camp at church, and started many new friendships. At the time, Matt was already apart of the youth group at the church, and Kylie & him would see each other in passing or at youth group on Wednesday nights. At the next Summer Kids Camp (2016), Matt volunteered to help out, and this is where their friendship started to bloom. Kylie and Matt would chat and sit near each other, joke around and get to know one another. Fast Forward to Spring of 2017, Matt asked Kylie to Junior Prom on April 29th at Youth Group. Now…don’t get her wrong, Kylie loved their friendship and said yes to Prom, but nothing more continued with that relationship after that night! 2018 comes and Kylie & Matt graduate High School and depart separate ways for College. Matt goes out of Town and Kylie stayed home. From September 2018 to December 2018, Kylie and Matt stayed in touch via social media, but nothing more than that…. Ready for the good stuff? January 2019 Matt decides to take a break from college and come back home. During that time, Kylie and Matt went to a Swim meet in mid January, mind you, this was the first time seeing each other since August of 2018. After the swim meet, Kylie & Matt decided to grab dinner at Kumo Cuisine, and bought nearly everything off the menu. It was an amazing night, filled with laughs and re-kindling of an old friendship…and little did we know it was the start of something new. After that night, Kylie & Matt continued to see one another almost 2-3 times a week continuously, never missing a week. June of 2019, Matt threw a HUGE surprise party for Kylie’s Birthday, inviting friends & family. That night, Kylie never felt more loved and appreciated. Fast forward that amazing summer, August 18th, 2019… Matt and Kylie were laying on her couch watching Criminal Minds when Matt looked at Kylie and asked …”Kylie, will you be my girlfriend.” and she said YES!!

Now if you know Kylie, she loves Disney, and if you know Matt, he knows Kylie LOVES Disney. Matt & Kylie were going on vacation to visit Matt’s cousin Chris in Tampa, and Matt suprised Kylie with Disney tickets for Valentines Day (awww). At our first day in Disney, we decided to do Magic Kingdom. We got up early that morning, drove an hour from Tampa to Orlando, grabbed Chick Fil A and were in the park by 9:00am! As we were walking down Main Street, USA, we approached the castle and Matt wanted to get in line for a professional picture. As we approach our turn, the Photographer had us do silly poses, but Matt asked if he could “take one more picture” and as the photographer easily agreed, it all happened in a blink of an eye….Matt got down on one knee and who knows what he said because Kylie was in shock. Kylie with the biggest smile, tears and shaking from excitement said “YES!!!” Everyone within the vicinity of us was cheering, clapping and taking pictures!! It was so magical and amazing. As we made our way over to make phone calls we just hugged each other and cherished the moment.
