They say that sometimes the best things in life happen when you least expect them. For Austin and Brittany, that couldn't be more true. The story begins after Austin saw some pictures of Brittany through their mutual friend, Kira. On a whim he decided to reach out and ask her to dinner. Brittany, who had read too many stories of serial killers, politely declined his initial offer to dinner and instead agreed to get to know each other as friends. Since that fateful day in May, there was not a day that went by that the two did not engage in conversation. Their connection was undeniable. After months of talking to each other for hours on end, Austin and Brittany decided to meet for lunch before her work shift. Even though she "chickened out" at the last minute, Austin still took the initiative to make the meeting happen. He showed up to her workplace bringing the gift of a half of a barbecued chicken. After all, the way to a girl's heart is through good food and snacks! Within that moment, despite him being covered in water (and maybe some fish scales) from the Youghiogheny and her being garnered in a very ugly and unflattering work uniform, the sparks flew and the connection the two shared from a distance was amplified. As their relationship grew, they not only fell in love but also became best friends. Austin also met Brittany's daughter, Kaylen. Over time, he began to love her too and step into the role of being a father figure. Every experience they shared together deepened their bond. They navigated life's ups and downs together- graduate school, a GLOBAL PANDEMIC, fun adventures, changing jobs and careers, and more- supporting each other through challenges and celebrating triumphs as a team. They learned to love life together, from the grand adventures to the simple and mundane everyday activities. Through it all their love blossomed to where they are now- ready to embark on the next chapter of their journey as a family. They feel incredibly grateful for the friends who brought them together and for the moments that have shaped their relationship. They can't wait to share the culmination of those moments with the people that mean the most to them as they become husband and wife.
