Jake and I first met at Duke, where I was fortunate enough to join the same fraternity as him, share an ultra-hygienic dorm room our sophomore year, and ultimately become lifelong friends with both he and Kodie. Then, after graduating and spending a few years apart, I shamelessly followed the happy couple out to Los Angeles—routinely flouting both Jake’s legal advice and Kodie’s pilates invitations. And though my first-choice role was flower girl, I consider it the privilege of a lifetime to play a part in this special day celebrating two of my very favorite people.

Jake, my older brother, has been with me since birth. He has been one of my biggest inspirations and supporters through life. The countless laughs, memories, and even tears had created an unbreakable bond. Being the best man for his wedding is the honor of a lifetime, and I wish nothing but the best for Kodie and Jake’s marriage.

I met Jake in college when we were paired on a scavenger hunt for our fraternity, and took many political science classes together. Through the years, we’ve bonded over our long suffering NBA teams and even though we’re now on opposite coasts, there’s nothing better than a quick FaceTime with Jake that turns into a 45 minute of catching up and laughter. I can’t wait to celebrate Jake & Kodie!!!

I first met Jake on the football field, back when I was his lineman, and he was the quarterback. My job was to protect him, and his job was to yell at me when I didn’t. It was a bond built on trust, teamwork, and a lot of him shouting, “Block someone”. But over time, I realized he wasn’t just a great quarterback, he was also a loyal friend. Whether it was on the field or off, he’s always been someone you can count on .. even if he still blames me for being sacked. Now, Jake has found someone else to help call the plays in his life and he found his perfect teammate. Jake and Kodie .. I can’t wait to celebrate your guys big day!

My first memory with Jake is playing YMCA basketball together. My first memory of Kodie is buying her alcohol in high school (shout-out JJs). Staying up until the crack of dawn doing Dutch bros runs and hunting woodpeckers will always be my favorite memories with Jake. I’m grateful that I get to see these two get married!

I met Kodie a few years ago when we lived in the same apartment building. After chatting one day in the laundry room, we immediately clicked and she became my first friend in LA! We bonded over our love of Bravo TV shows and being dog moms to Finn and Pretzel (who fell in love instantly). I also found out I had a connection to Jake as he went to Duke University in North Carolina, where I’m from. From then on, they took me in as their third wheel and made LA feel more like home. I am so honored to be a part of their special day and forever thankful to the universe for bringing us together!

If you were to ask Jake, he’d probably describe me as his younger sister that tormented him since 1998. As we have grown up, I have came to realize he is the best older brother a sister could ask for. The level headed one of the family that everyone goes to for advice, especially his legal advice. Being the only girl of the family for the past 26 years, I am so thankful to be getting a sister. It is an honor to stand beside Jake and Kodie on not only on their special day, but for all life endeavors that are yet to come. Love you both!
