Milwaukee Public Market

Milwaukee Public Market

400 North Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202
, (414) 336-1111

One of The Third Ward's most easily recognizable features is the Milwaukee Public Market. A great indoor spot to go to check out an array of vendors offering a variety of food and other goods but also a cool spin on what makes the City of Milwaukee a great place to live. The Market is within walking distance to the hotels and would make a great Saturday morning activity to go get a coffee, sweet treat from C. Adams bakery, breakfast or lunch, and walk around!

Milwaukee RiverWalk District

Milwaukee RiverWalk District

River Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202

After you hit the Milwaukee Public Market stroll on over to the Riverwalk. Running along the bank of the river, this boardwalk is intertwined with several restaurants and bars - and it's within walking distance of the hotel blocks. The Riverwalk runs several miles but the portion in the Third Ward gives a nice, short and peacefully different perspective of the City of Milwaukee. This would be a great activity right after grabbing coffee at the Public Market.

Lakeshore State Park

Lakeshore State Park

500 N Harbor Dr, Milwaukee, WI 53202

This State Park is one of downtown's more beautiful locations with an excellent view of the skyline that some might recognize from a certain Save the Date card. Lakeshore State Park offers incredible views of the Lake as well as the Summerfest Festival grounds and is close to the hotel blocks.

Boone & Crockett

Boone & Crockett

818 South Water Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204
, (414) 212-8115

One of our favorite bars in Milwaukee - Boone & Crockett recently moved to its new location in Walker's Point, right around the corner from Ivy House. Known for their Old Fashions, Boone & Crockett offers other great cocktails and a cozy, laid-back place to sit and chat while grabbing a bite from the food trucks on site. Driving distance from the hotel blocks, B&C would be great for happy hour on Friday night or a nice spot to stop and grab a drink before the wedding on Saturday.

Café Benelux

Café Benelux

346 North Broadway, Milwaukee, WI 53202
, (414) 501-2500

Cafe Benelux is a great restaurant with casual Euro vibes and within walking distance from the hotel blocks. Known for a large Belgian beer selection, beefy Bloody Mary's and great food, Benelux would be a great place to head over for Lunch or Dinner. Benelux is also a big time soccer bar. If you do make it over to Benelux I've got two words for you....Potato. Balls. .......you're welcome.

The Noble Restaurant

704 South 2nd Street, Milwaukee, WI 53205
, (414) 243-4997

The Noble is the best restaurant in Milwaukee. Situated not far from the Ivy House in a tiny... no really, only seats ~15-16 people tiny... little storefront off of 2nd Ave, The Noble is a one-of-a-kind experience. With a menu that changes daily and includes specific variations of fish, pasta, pork and assortments of red meat this place will appeal to any kind of food connoisseur. While The Noble is most likely not within walking distance of the hotel blocks it is definitely worth the trip for a nice Friday night dinner if available. Heads up, due to size and popularity there may be a wait, and it's in the $$$ range. In addition, parking can be somewhat difficult so an Uber may be the best option for travel.

La Merenda

La Merenda

125 East National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53204
, (414) 389-0125

This is one of our favorite places in Milwaukee! La Merenda is a tapas joint that serves delicious, shareable, small plates and has great cocktails, too. If the weather is right, it has a fantastic patio in the back. This place would be great for dinner Friday night or perhaps a stop for snacks and a drink on the way to the wedding, it's right around the corner from the venue!

Lakefront Brewery

Lakefront Brewery

1872 North Commerce Street, Milwaukee, WI 53212
, (414) 372-8800

Lakefront is an awesome brewery tucked away in the old Milwaukee Electric Railway and Light Company building. They are famous for their excellent tours (don't miss the Laverne & Shirley reference) and great beer selection, and their large German Beer Hall isn't too bad either. While this isn't walkable from the hotel blocks, it is a fun activity if you've got some time to kill. $11 will get you the tour, a souvenir glass and (4) 6oz beers. We would recommend making reservations for the tour beforehand.

Fiserv Forum

Fiserv Forum

1111 Vel R. Phillips Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53203
, (414) 227-0504

Go Bucks! Fiserv Forum is home to the Milwaukee Bucks as well as the staple of the Bucks Entertainment District. Head into the (more affectionately known as the) 41Forum to catch a game or grab some sweet Bucks gear at the Pro Shop, or go over to the Entertainment District's collection of bars, breweries and restaurants. Tough to go wrong in this area and with any luck, The Bucks will be playing at home in the NBA Playoffs in April! #Bucksin6
