The only time I ever hiked here was with my parents and Claire, and after the short hike we ended up helping a group of college kids open their car back up with a coat hanger. Probably the most romantic hike I've ever gone on.
A fabulous trail to hike in the late fall (bring with a real compass for the magnetic rock at the end of it).
You can take a canoe out from Borderland Lodge and experience the BWCA from the water.
Climb in and out of BWCA lakes (even in October we took a swim in one). If you want to hike further, you can end this hike at a waterfall. Please make sure you put in for the wilderness permit at the beginning of the trail (and welcome to the Boundary Waters!)
