Garden Cocktail is a dress code that takes the traditional Cocktail dress code and adjusts it slightly to make it more comfortable and bolder to fit an outdoor event. The means that everyone is encouraged to wear bold colors, textures and/or patterns, women are not asked to wear any heels that would sink into the ground (and do not need to wear heels in general), and men can skip the blazer if they have a collared shirt and tie. If you search Garden Cocktail, you will mostly see photos of this event code done for summer events. As we will be in the late autumn, we will be adding in deeper colors and warmer layers like cute jackets :)
Heidi politely requests that you refrain from wearing any perfumes, scents, or essential oils. Our venue is also working with us to create a relaxed schedule, mocktails, natural and relaxed lighting, and you may notice Heidi and Cody taking breaks throughout the day.
If enough people all give $5, Cody is going to let Heidi get a horse. Our registry can be found here: https://withjoy.com/cody-and-heidi/registry
This is a pet free weekend. Please plan ahead, as we know many trusted pet sitters are likely on the guest list (ours sure are!)
We are hosting an intimate and small wedding. Due to limited venue space, we have personally invited all guests. Please refer to your invitation and RSVP card for information on invitees.
Your room accommodation will be listed as a weekend long event that you will need to RSVP yes or no to. If you choose not to accept your room at Borderland Lodge, you will need to find other lodging.
