Our story begins with the name Veronica. We first met in physics class at Gainesville State College when Adam needed help with an in class assignment but couldn't remember Viv's name but knew it started with the letter V, so he tried Veronica. She doesn't let him forget that mistake to this day. Over the next two years we grew closer and became great friends but parted ways when Viv headed to the University of Georgia. Over the year we lost touch but when our paths crossed again we would pick up right where we left off. We crossed paths in 2013 and haven't left each other's side since. Fast forward to today we have 9 years of great memories together. We moved into our first apartment together, bought our first home, travelled to places near and far and introduced our giant floof, Marshall, to our family.

Our friend Danielle, had convinced Viv to plan our yearly vacation in Portland, Oregon in 2019. Since we had been to Portland before we decided to fly into Seattle a few days before taking a train down to Portland for the weekend. Whenever we go to Portland, we head out and spend a few days at Danielle's family condo in Otter Rock. We love waking up to the views and sound of the shore. We had planned an early morning walk on the beach in order to catch low tide which we loved to do every time we came out to the west coast. To Viv this was just another typical Portland vacation, where she would catch up with Danielle and eat loaded baked potato pizza and drink lots of wine! Oh boy was she wrong. Little did Viv know, Danielle and Adam had been planning this proposal for a while and she had no idea! When we got to the proposal spot, Adam asked Danielle to take our picture. I was so confused, Adam hates pictures. Adam wanted us to recreate a photo we took the first time we visited Otter Rock. We posed for a few pictures and then when we turned to face each other, Adam went down on his knee and asked me to marry him.
