Athens is a cozy little college town with a lot to offer and only 30 minutes away from our venue. The heart of the city is the University of Georgia, which is home to a diverse student population and Viviana's alma mater.
Athens is known for being the home of many now famous bands such as R.E.M., The B-52’s, The Black Crowes, Drive by Truckers, and Widespread Panic, to name a few. There is always a band playing somewhere in Athens, as the music venues available are endless. The foremost among these being the legendary 40 Watt Club, not to be outdone by the Georgia Theatre as a close second.
If you like beer, you couldn’t ask for a better place to visit! There are five different Brewing companies in Athens that brew some of the best Craft beer in the country. The most well known are Terrapin, Creature Comforts, and Southern Brewing Company.
