Pair your outfit with kitten heels or vintage-inspired flats, and don't forget a sunhat or a dainty fascinator for a timeless garden look. Embrace the suave sophistication of the mid-20th century with lightweight suits in pastel colors or classic patterns like pinstripes. Alternatively, smart casual attire such as trousers paired with a button-up shirt will also capture the essence of the era. Complete your ensemble with loafers or oxford shoes to stroll the lawn in style.
Due to our limited occupancy restrictions and to ensure the comfort of all our guests, our designated flower girl will be the sole child at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding and support in making our day special for everyone involved.
The ceremony will be outdoors. The reception and cocktail hour will be inside.
Summer temperatures in Groton trend towards the high 70s. Please check the weather before traveling and dress accordingly. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved inside to the reception space.
Please refrain from using phones or cameras during the ceremony to allow our photographer to capture the moment beautifully. Please DO take photos during the reception. We will have some Polaroid cameras floating around for guests to add to our photo album guest book. Please feel free to tag any photos posted online with our wedding hashtag #Adding2Anderson
Yes, though we encourage car pooling when possible.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home via the registry. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
There will be a cocktail hour on the barn deck immediately following the ceremony. Guests will enter the barn for the reception immediately following cocktail hour.
We will be hosting a capped bar with two signature cocktails. Once the bar cap is reached the bar will become a cashless bar (i.e. debit/credit card use. Gibbet Hill will not accept cash from guests).
The reception will end at 3:00 pm. Details of an after-party are TBD but will be announced by our MC if necessary.
