Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Google Maps, if your Android like Anthony or Apple Maps, if your iPhone like Laura, will recognize Santa Barbara Zoo. From the main parking lot walk through the Zoo admission, down Olive Road (pass the penguins), stay on the road right of the Koi pond, right of the Hilltop (reception site) and the Ceremony will be held in the Palm Garden. Use the following address for GPS: 500 Ninos Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93103

Is there parking? Do we have to pay for parking or admission into the Zoo?

Answer

There is a parking lot for the zoo and they do charge, but lucky for you just tell them you're with the Lauterio/Vega wedding and your fee is covered. Same as admission, skip the ticket line and walk to the entrance and tell them the same thing.

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Ceremony starts promptly at 5pm, so we advise being seated by 445. Please allow time for the walk from the entrance of the Zoo to the ceremony site.

What should I wear?

Answer

July weather in Santa Barbara is hot days and cool nights. A little more specific? Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits or sundresses, and jackets and slacks with your dancing shoes. Please know the ceremony and reception are on grass and there is a bit of a walk from the entrance of the zoo to the ceremony site.

Can I take photos?

Answer

We are so excited you want to capture memories from this day. There will be tons of beautiful views and cool animals as photo ops. However, we are having an unplugged ceremony and ask everyone to put their devices away and be present in the moment with us. We have hired the INCREDIBLE Asia to photograph (and hopefully show us her killer moves on the dance floor) and we promise to share our photos with you. After the ceremony selfie feel free to snap away and don't forget to use our hashtag #VivaLaVega

When are the RSVPs due by?

Answer

As early as possible, but no later than July 1. If a hotel is needed, PLEASE book hotel reservation before RSVPing.

Can I bring my kids or a date?

Answer

We would love nothing more than to celebrate with everyone but our venue has safety issues and a guest limit that we need to stick to. The names of invited guests will be addressed on the invite envelope. Please be respectful and invite only the intended guest. Feel free to contact Laura if you need any clarification or want baby sitter recommendations.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

The pathways of the zoo are well kept and there are accessibility ramps to all sections of the Zoo. There is a golf cart available to take a ride to the ceremony site from the entrance and back if needed.

I have a dietary restriction what will I be able to eat?

Answer

We are really excited about our food! We are having both of our favorite meals. Please make sure to contact Laura at (805)264-8989 with any dietary restrictions before July 1st. We want everyone to enjoy their food and have the energy for rocking out on the dance floor.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

Yes, there is at was the Fess Parker but is now the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort at 633 East Cabrillo Blvd and walking distance to the venue (this will be updated when more information is found out) Please contact Laura for more info.

Is Laura doing hair or make up on this day?

Answer

NOPE! There are many talented hair and make up artists in the area and also attending the wedding. Please contact Laura (805)264-8989 for your very own glam squad.
