Our Love Story

February 16, 2014 - Dave received a call from Andrea, a dear old friend, who was in town for the weekend visiting family and friends. Dave came up from New York City to join in the fun, picked up his brother Matt and met up with the crew at Geronimo's. As soon as he walked in, Dave spotted this smoking hot babe with fiery red hair (dyed of course), and his jaw dropped. "Andrea, WHO is that girl?!" he said. She replied, "Oh, that's Gabbie, you'd really like her. I'll introduce you." So, Dave, thinking he was a big shot having just returned from a trip to Havana, thought he could impress the lady with an adventure story of daiquiri drinking escapades in a foreign land. Gabbie entertained the story but showed no signs of being impressed. Ego check. Feeling like he just struck out, Dave let the conversation dwindle and picked back up with old friends. Dave left that night bummed out. However, he couldn't shake the image of Gabriella, with her seductive eyes and big beautiful smile. He did the only natural thing, secretly stalk her on Facebook for the next year. June 7, 2015 - Once again, Dave receives a call from Andrea. "Hey I'm in town. Want to meet up for some belated bday celebrations? Let's grab brunch in a couple hours." Dave just so happened to already be in town as well and jumped on the opportunity. Andrea made it a point to let him know, "Remember Gabbie? Yeah, well she'll be there too." Dave called Matt and said, "Hey, we HAVE to go to brunch." This time, however, Gabbie couldn't resist. While watching Dave approach the table, she knew instantly she wanted to marry him - no joke. As the day progressed, they fell for each other while hitting up a bbq, playing basketball with the boys and party hopping from dockyard to dockyard on friends' boats. They held hands and even smooched a little. The next day, Gabbie texted Dave a monkey emoji as his train pulled away from the Fairfield Station. They were hooked.
