Ashley’s favorite day at Cornell was always Slope Day. One year, I told her I couldn’t go with her and tricked her into thinking I was staying in our NYC apartment slaving away at work. Little did she know, I elaborately planned to surprise her where we had our 2nd date. Scariest part? I lost the ring in the car because it slipped out of my suit jacket. Best part?
