Question

Where in Disney is the Wedding?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will take place at Disney's Grand Floridian. The ceremony is at the Wedding Pavilion, which is at the hotel on the water. The reception will take place at the Grand Floridian ballroom. The hotel is NOT in a park, so there is no fee to enter. The chapel and reception room are walking distance from each other.

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

Formal attire.

Question

Can I Bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones will be specified on each individual invite.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

The children that are invited are part of the bridal party. Invites for children will also be specified on each individual invite.

Question

Do I have to stay at the Grand Floridian?

Answer

No you do not. Although it is an option, there will be room blocks at the Grand Floridian, Caribbean Beach Hotel, and All Star Movies Hotel. The links to the hotels are on the travel tab of this website. There are also many other hotels in Disney that you could stay at. Disney provides three different tiers of hotels based on cost; Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. Type in mydisneyexperience on google to see the hotels provided.

Question

Do I Have to Stay on Disney Property?

Answer

No, you do not. There are many hotels in the Orlando area or plenty of air bnb's. However, I would recommend staying in Disney as transportation is a lot easier and free. Staying on Disney property, also gets you early and after hour access to the parks, and allows you to pick lightening lanes first.

Question

Should I get the Disney World App?

Answer

If you are planning to go to the parks then yes. This app contains maps of all the parks with ride wait times, dinning reservations, show times, and genie plus and lightening lane availability.

Question

What is Genie Plus and Lightening Lane?

Answer

Genie Plus is a system on the Disney app that allows you to cut the line and have less of a wait time. These lines are called lightening lanes. However, you have to pay for this. Genie plus is 18 dollars flat per person per day. This allows you to pick lightening lane lines for rides of your choice and skip the long wait times. You can choose up to one lightening lane at a time and can book another one a few hours later. However once you go on the ride using the lightening lane you reserved, you can immediately reserve your next lightening lane. Each park also offers one individual lightening lane which you have to pay an extra rate per person if you want to skip the long wait times. This is not required and you can still wait in the lines without paying. The trick to not waiting in lines is to be at the parks as soon as they open.

Question

How do I get to the Disney Parks while staying on property?

Answer

Depending on the hotel you chose, there are many options. The transportation options are the monorail, boat, or buses. Not all hotels have the same transportation system, but they do all have buses. You can also Uber, but Ubers are not free. If you have any questions on how to get to the parks please ask Sean and I or the front desk. We highly recommend utilizing the transportation that is offered.

Question

What is the difference between a Park Hopper and a Base ticket?

Answer

A park hopper allows you to go to more than one park per day. A base ticket only allows you to go to one park per day. However, with a base ticket, you can go to a park in the morning and return back to the same park at night. Make sure when you buy your tickets you reserve what park you would like to attend on what day. If you have a park hopper ticket, you still have to reserve the first park you will be going to and then after 2pm you can go to any of the other three theme parks.

Question

What is a Magic Band and should I get one?

Answer

A magic band is a bracelet that gives you access to the park, acts as a room key, and even acts as your credit card. It is really easy and Sean and I definitely recommend it. It costs 10 dollars and will be offered when you purchase your park tickets. You also can buy them at any Disney resort or store. If you purchase them outside of the website, you will just have to have the front desk link your reservation for you or you can link your reservation yourself on the app. If you purchase the magic bands through the website, they will arrive at your house and already be linked. If you do not want a magic band, you will get a card that acts as your ticket and room key.

Question

What are the park hours?

Answer

Each park has different opening and closing times based on the day. The Disney app or website will have the park hour information. If you stay at a Disney Resort, you are able to access the park 30 minutes before guests who do not stay at Disney. These are called "Magic Hours". Certain Resorts also have after hours which allow you to stay in the park later. This information is also on the Disney App.

Question

When should I make Dinner Reservations?

Answer

All reservations can be made up to 60 days prior to your trip. These reservations can be made on the Disney app. It is important to book them at the 60 day mark as dinner reservations book up quick. If you want to go to a restaurant in the parks, you have to have a park ticket. You can go to any of the Disney hotels for meals as well. You also can use open table for most of the restaurants that are in Disney Springs.

Question

Should I Do A Disney Dinning Plan

Answer

You can, but I have never purchased this. Personally, I feel as though you do not end up eating as much as they provide you, but some people love the plan! You can save money by bringing snacks to Florida, or insta-cart groceries to the room when you arrive.

Question

What if the sky liner is not working?

Answer

Do not worry. Majority of Disney hotels only operate by bus, so the buses will take you to the parks. The sky liner is just an added transportation experience and will not alter how you get from park to park.

Question

What if I am still confused?

Answer

Don't worry! Please reach out to Sean and I for any questions as we are more then happy to help!
