Castelo de Óbidos
Take a step back in time in this Medieval town in Portugal about an hour north of Lisbon, with the town being inside the castle walls. Walk the town, walk the castle walls, or stop by any of the shops for a shot of Ginja, cherry liquer, inside a chocolate cup.
National Palace of Pena
Step into this amazing piece of architecture sitting on top of the hill in Sintra and oversee the city. Walk through the Palace and see how the Kings & Queens used to live and take in the scenery! Also take a walk through Pena park and enjoy the nature.
Berlengas
Right off the Coast of Peniche, the Berlenga Islands are a small archipelago of islands. Visit and take in the beautiful views and hike through the island. Remember to take a bathing suit so when you end your hike you can refresh by jumping into the ocean for a nice swim. Reminder to buy tickets as they only allow a certain amount of visitors per day and you need to catch a boat in Peniche.
Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima
Come visit the holy Sanctuary of Fatima where the Virgin Mary appeared to the 3 shepherd children to spread the word of God. Visit this Sanctuary and see the basilica, sit down for a rosary prayer or for mass.
São Martinho do Porto
Visit this family friendly beach where Andre's maternal side is from. This beach is in the shape of a seashell, thus allowing there to be basically no waves making it the ideal beach for families. Sit on the beach, eat a Bola de Berlim, take a dip, (water may be cold so be brave!), eat some local seafood, and take a walk around town.
Mafra National Palace
Royal Palace, convent, basilica from the 17th century where kings and queens would stay. It boasts a a baroque style with many sculptures paintings and artworks commissioned by the kings over the years. Take a step back in time and walk around the premises.
Nazaré
Come visit the area where the largest wave ever surfed. Go up to the Sitio de Nazare and walk down to the lighthouse take in the sights. Walk around and stop by the church and take a look inside. Then take the elevator down to the beach and take a swim, walk around this fishing town and grab a bite.
Quinta de Sant'Ana do Gradil
Come visit this winery outside of Lisbon and close to the hotel accommodation. Do a wine tasting or a tour and take in the views.
Oceanário de Lisboa
Come stop by the aquarium I’m Lisbon, recognized several times as the best in the world. Thousands of different species and hundreds of different animals, travel the world without leaving Lisbon and do guided tours or walk around on your own.
Chaves
Come visit the city of Andre’s paternal side and take a visit through the mountains. This city offers a lot of Roman architecture and mountain air. Just 1.5 hours from Porto, change it up from the city life.

Come visit the library that inspired Harry Potter and buy a book. Then take a walk around the area, see the students in their school cloaks.
