Andre and Nicole both grew up in the same town, always being acquaintances until Andre decided to message Nicole sometime in May of 2023. Andre used the excuse of wanting to meet the dogs, the cats, and the bunny—but he really just wanted to see Nicole. She agreed to meet up. That night, they stayed up late in Nicole's backyard, talking and looking at the stars. It was a beautiful evening. Andre ended up asking Nicole out on a date, and she happily agreed. On July 3rd, Andre planned a special date night after picking Nicole up from the airport. He prepared dinner at his place and asked her the question: “Will you be my girlfriend?” Of course, she said yes. In June of 2024, Nicole and Andre moved to Delaware to start a new chapter of their lives together. Then, on September 3rd, 2024, Andre took Nicole out for lunch at their favorite spot, Calandra's. Nicole had no idea what was waiting for her back at her mom’s backyard. On the way home, Andre told her to close her eyes. Nicole was a little nervous, unsure of why she needed to. Andre gently led her out of the car and into the backyard. That’s when she felt him go down on one knee. He popped the big question—“Will you marry me?” Nicole teared up, and with so much excitement, she said “YES!” A month and a half later, on October 12th, 2024, Nicole and Andre had a small, intimate civil marriage ceremony in a beautiful garden, followed by dinner at their favorite restaurant, Calandra’s, surrounded by close family. Now, here we are—planning our Catholic wedding to share with family and friends, and to make our dream wedding come true!
