Vincent and Katie met in 2021 through a mutual friend who said he was going to help set them up. Through the mutual friend, we made a $20 bet on whether the Islanders or Lightning would make the Stanley Cup Final. Since the Lightning won, Katie won the bet and Vincent owed her $20 through Venmo. Once the mutual friend backed out of setting them up, Katie realized she had Vincent's name on her Venmo. She went to Facebook and sent him a message to see if he would be willing to meet. We had our first date on July 25, 2021 in Manhattan where we went to lunch, the Museum of Natural History, and walked around Central Park. The first date ended up lasting almost 8 hours. On September 5th 2021, Vincent was leaving Katie's house in Brooklyn and as he was about to get into his car, he stopped and asked her to be his girlfriend. Together we enjoy going to various sporting events, the arcade, restaurants, bowling, the movies, and mini golf. Katie ended up leaving Brooklyn to move in with Vinny on Long Island in 2023 and we have made our apartment our home. We love ending our days together by cooking dinners and winding down watching various television shows. Vincent shocked Katie on July 25, 2025 with an amazing proposal. Sadly, three days before getting engaged, we had to put our loving cat Cleo to sleep. Vincent texted me that he was able to get a last minute reservation for dinner at Del Vino Vineyards on Friday night July 25th at 7:30 PM. He said he thought it would be good for him since he was grieving the loss of Cleo. When we got to the restaurant, we asked someone to take our picture in front of the fountain outside the restaurant. Katie had her purse and a small sweater that she put on the ground when someone took their picture. As Katie went to turn and pick her stuff up, Vincent tapped her on the shoulder and was on one knee asking her to marry him. She said yes and he had a photographer there to capture the moment and take photos of them around the vineyard. We celebrated by enjoying the rest of the dinner there together and Katie got to learn how the proposal came together. We are so excited to be getting married and spend forever together. Our wedding date is extra special because it will be our five year anniversary of being together.
