LEVEL Airlines

LEVEL is a budget international airline owned by Iberia that flies direct into Barcelona from Logan and JFK. The flights are very reasonable (we have purchased round trip direct tickets for ~$350) and the airline is actually decent if you know what to expect. That being said, you will pay extra for everything - seat selection, onboard meal, snacks, drinks, checked bag etc. You get a carry-on bag and a personal item with the "light" fare, but that's it. The flight itself is a normal size plane with regular amenities for purchase once onboard. The seats are normal sized and not cramped like other budget airlines (Spirit, Frontier). If you try to check-in early for your flight they will charge you to select your seats. If you wait until within 24 hours of your flight, the airline will randomly assign your seats but will usually seat tickets purchased together, together. If you are flying LEVEL and trying to score a good deal, I suggest you buy the "light" fare. Then later buy a checked bag online if you think you need it BEFORE the date of your flight. When you go to the airport buy some food and beverage and bring it onto the plane with you and you will have a pleasant ride.

Flight

Iberia

Iberia is Spain's main airline and should have plenty of direct flights into Barcelona. Be careful when booking, sometimes it will be an Iberia flight "Operated by LEVEL" which means its a LEVEL plane, but you just get a checked bag and a meal with your Iberia fare. If the flight says that, just buy it direct from Level instead and save yourself the money. I recommend Kayak or SkyScanner when searching for cheap flights. Hopper is a great app that allows you to put in dates and alerts you when the cheapest time to buy tickets are.

Rental Car

Sixt Rent a Car

Definitely not required. Only worth considering if you plan on spending a significant amount of time exploring outside of Barcelona. The wedding venue is located 40 minutes from Barcelona Center and cabs are abundant and reasonably priced.

House Or Rental

Airbnb Rentals

Spain has some of the most affordable AirBnB rentals in Europe. You can get a lot of bang for your buck. You may want to consider booking a larger property and splitting it with friends or family as there are SPECTACULAR villas available in the areas surrounding the venue. We have included a list of nearby rentals in the link below. If you prefer, you can also book something in Barcelona city but be aware that it's 40 minutes away from the venue.
