It's black tie optional. If you own a tuxedo or gown and want to wear it, great! Otherwise, feel free to wear any suit or cocktail dress of your choosing. If you prefer to rent a tuxedo for the event, I've used www.theblacktux.com in the past. If you are planning on using The Black Tux, definitely make your reservation at least a month or two in advance.

If it's your first time in Barcelona I would recommend booking a hotel in the Gothic Quarter. Near La Rambla. This area has an abundance of nightlife, restaurants and tourist sites all within walking distance.
We have booked a bus that will transport guests from Barcelona and those staying at the Hotel Moli de la Torre to and from the wedding. We are finalizing the exact pickup location and times with the bus company and will send out more details close to the wedding.
The hotel near the venue is providing us with details for local cab and transportation services. We are trying to organize cabs so that guests staying in villas near the wedding venue will be able to have easy access to transportation post wedding. As for getting to the venue, if you are staying in a villa nearby I would contact your host and see if they can provide you with a local cab service for getting to the venue. There are also plenty of cab services and Uber/Lyfts available when you are in Barcelona to bring you to your villa. Rental cars in Barcelona are affordable and driving in the city is manageable if you prefer to have a car to explore and drive back to the airport the day after the wedding.
If you are staying in Barcelona proper, you will not need to rent a car. If you are staying at a villa or hotel near the wedding venue, you may want to rent a car if you plan on exploring. The venue itself is located in the countryside and is somewhat remote. There are plenty of activities and places to visit nearby but they require a car to get to. Please don't drive a car to the wedding unless you have a designated driver.
We blocked off the entire Hotel Rural Moli de La Torre for guests who want to be near the venue. This hotel is 5 minutes from the wedding venue and is blocked Saturday and Sunday for wedding guests only. It is a small hotel with only 14 rooms available. If you would like to stay here please contact Aubrie and let her know so she can reserve your room. The hotel rate is $220EUR total for 2 nights.
Yes! We've put together this guide below with restaurants, sights, and more. If you know your itinerary already you may want to book some of the activities and restaurants in advance. https://docs.google.com/document/d/16-HxuZd5TwTOzmTKvybBU_e3X3e4KH4RLWC1UTYzais/edit?usp=sharing
The absolute best place to do this is at your bank here in the states. You will get the best possible exchange rate. Often banks in the US will not have Euro on hand but will order them for you. You'll want to check on this a few weeks before your travel date. DO NOT exchange USD to EURO in the Airport, you will pay a hefty fee. Alternatively, if you have a decent credit card, the exchange rate on credit transactions is usually good.
Yes! Getting to Europe is the hard part. Flights are very cheap to jump from country to country once you're there. RyanAir and Vueling are both great budget airlines that can get you from country to country for usually less than $100 per ticket. My suggestion is that if you are planning to do some bouncing around Europe, buy your flight to Barcelona only. Create an Itinerary of where you want to go and buy your return flight from the last country you plan on visiting. If you want some suggestions where to visit in Europe let Aubrie or me know, we'd be happy to send you a list of our favorite places to visit and things to do.
