October 1st, 2023.
We are lucky enough to have everything we need for our new life together, so please, no gifts. Simply bring yourself and your dancing shoes – we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Yes. You will need to apply for an e-Visa. You can apply for your e-Visa at: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/Registration
During the day, expect the temperature to be anywhere from mild to warm. It averages anywhere from the low 60s to mid 70s, and at night lows reach into the 50s.
All of the events are taking place at our wedding venue: The Grand Aurra in Faridabad, India. Look on our travel and schedule pages for the most up to date information regarding location, time, attire and more.
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be held inside. However, the haldi ceremony and the cocktail party will both take place outside by the pool.
We have suggested attire for all events but you are welcome to wear whatever you would like. If you are interested in wearing traditional Indian attire and want to go shopping in India, reach out to us and we can help you make those accommodations.
We are doing our best to make sure we have food available for everyone to eat. Expect traditional Indian food, and maybe some American favorites as well. Alcohol will be served at the main functions and dietary restrictions will be listed on each food setting. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available. For anyone needing gluten-free meals, please reach out to the bride/groom.
Tipping culture is not common. But, like the US, the service industry is mostly minimum wage. So, we recommend tipping when possible.
Almost every hotel you stay at will have wifi, including our venue. However, most attractions, buses, and car services will not. We recommend bringing a mobile hotspot or purchasing an India SIM card for whenever you are on the go.
Unfortunately due to the time difference and the fact that Indian weddings are multi-day events, we will not be doing a virtual celebration. However, we plan on having another in-person celebration in the Summer of 2024 for those unable to attend the wedding in India.
Please feel free to call/text us if you have any additional questions.
We are currently working on curating a great list of things for you to do in and around the area when visiting! Please visit the Things to Do page for our most up to date information.
