Haldi, aka: the golden goodness! Haldi is a paste made of turmeric, oil, and other natural ingredients. During the Haldi ceremony, family members and friends gather to bless the couple and wish them good luck. They take turns applying the golden-yellow paste on the couple's face, hands, and feet, as it is believed to bring a radiant glow to the skin and good fortune for the upcoming marriage.

Mehndi is the magical henna paste that turns skin into art! During the Mehndi ceremony, a skilled artist will use this paste to create beautiful henna designs on the bride's hands and feet, symbolizing good health and prosperity as she embarks on her journey to marriage. By the way, other ladies are also welcome to get henna tattoos if they would like. There will be music, dancing, and of course, food and drinks!

Recommended Attire: Traditional Indian/Black Tie
We will have a truncated version of a traditional wedding ceremony. It will begin with the exchange of garlands (called jai mala) between the bride and groom, followed by the sacred Pheras as we make vows around the sacred fire, symbolizing our lifelong commitment. The ceremony will last for about an hour, followed by lunch and drinks.

Finally, our wedding reception will be a joyful gathering where there will be good food, good company, and LOTS of dancing. Bring your appetite and dancing shoes, so we can create a unforgettable night of memories filled with laughter and our closest friends and family.
