Alexis and Sal met during their sophomore year of college, never realizing they had grown up just minutes apart in Westchester, NY. Once they started talking, they never stopped, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Sal officially asked Alexis to be his girlfriend on New Year’s Day, 2017. They spent their first anniversary at Sal’s brother and sister-in-law’s resort in Puerto Rico, the very same place where they’ll be saying “I do.” After college, Alexis moved to St. Kitts to attend veterinary school, and Sal joined her there during the pandemic. Their time living on the island together brought sunshine, adventure, and their first furry family member, a cat named Riley. From there, life took them to Florida, where Alexis worked at the University of Florida’s Animal Hospital and Sal embraced game-day life while working remotely under the palm trees. It was there they welcomed their golden retriever, Sadie, into the family. Eventually, they made their way back home to New York, settling into a cozy Westchester apartment now shared with Riley, Sadie, and their third, a cat named Mini. Eight years, three pets, and countless memories later, Alexis and Sal are living the life they once dreamed about, and can’t wait to say “I do,” surrounded by their favorite people, at a place that means so much to them in Puerto Rico.
