Maid of Honor
Lani is my little sister and growing up I don't remember a day without her. Only being two years apart, she's been my partner in mischief, ridiculous fights, adventures, laughs and so much more. We were called the cahoots growing up since we did everything together. (Monkey see monkey do.) As we've gotten older we have started our own paths, which means we can't do everything together anymore. But I always knew that she was going to stand beside me on my wedding day no matter where we were in life.
Best Man
Nathan is my younger brother, who I have grown up with for most of my life. Being the first boys in the Zimmerle household, my Dad encouraged us to be boys. We loved using our imagination for just about everything, any inanimate object could be turned into a weapon if you had the right sound effect. Nathan has also been, and still is, my movie buddy. Our favorite movies usually had the words Star Wars or MARVEL in the credits. As we've gotten older it has been fun being able to stay in contact and encouraging one another as we continue to work hard and pursue God.
Bridesmaid
Anna is my amazing sister who's two years older than me. Growing up we didn't always get along. She was a mini-mom, calm and full of maturity (which I didn't know what that was at the time) and I was full of energy. She seemed to never get in trouble and I often did. Man, did I get in trouble a lot for losing my temper at Anna's cool easy demeanor. It wasn't until I started to grow up (maturity wise that is) that I realized what a blessing of a sister I had. She has helped bring out the calm in me, yet still encouraged the energy in me. I have loved seeing our relationship grow over all these years and blossom into a friendship.
Groomsman
CJ and I become friends three years ago in New Zealand during our DTS (Discipleship Training School). The time flew by, yet whenever CJ hung out with me I was always encouraged by his fire for the Lord, his willingness to listen, and how he encourages those around him. Although CJ and I have only met up once since DTS ended, it has been cool to see how our friendship has grown. CJ is someone I can talk with for hours and totally lose track of time. Our conversations are a blessing and always fun, deep, and meaningful.
Bridesmaid
I've known Kelsie for 12 years. We first met at church and I knew right away we were going to be friends. So much so that I sat on her the first time we met while playing tag. It's amazing she still wanted to be my friend. (She did get me back years later.) Kelsie is my winter pal. We both joined the cross country ski club in high school and filled many of our winter days skiing in the woods. (still do.) That's when our friendship really started growing from childhood friends to friends for life. Kelsie brings out some of the goofiest sides of me and feeds into the adventure heart of mine. We have a blast with each other. Whether working together at the coffee shop, going to the beach, going for walks, watching tv or just sitting and doing nothing, we can just be ourselves.
Groomsman
Caleb Newberg is another friend I met during my DTS in New Zealand. His love for adventure, the outdoors, and God have always been on his heart. I have really appreciated Caleb's persistence in keeping in touch. It is always fun when we talk or get together because we're both external processors and talk through a million new ideas. These ideas have always been encouraging and backed up with support in prayer. I was really grateful for the time this fall that Amy and I visited Caleb and his wife Alex in Colorado Springs. We had a wonderful time of catching up over lunch, sharing stories, and playing games.
Bridesmaid
Anatalia and I met back in 2012 at summer camp. We weren't in the same cabin yet I ended up being invited on her cabin campout since we spent all our time together. When we were 16 we shared a mutual desire to travel to New Zealand together. After we graduated she went to college instead but I still went to New Zealand, where I ended up meeting Josh. Although we've never lived in the same place, we have been long distance best friends since 2012. You could even say our long distance friendship prepared both of us for our long distance relationships we went through. We started dating our guys around the same time. Her man was oversees the same time my man was and now we are getting married a few weeks apart from each other.
Groomsman
Jacob is my other younger brother and what a fun young guy he is to be around. Ever since Jacob was little, he could make me laugh, whether it was with his goofy facial expressions or the way he has with words. Jacob sure does love to talk; he will talk to you while you're in the kitchen, as you're walking out the door or in the movie theater (but who am I kidding, I do that too). It has been fun to see over the past year his newfound love for basketball. It was a lot of fun watching him play so hard during his games knowing how many hours he had practiced at home.
