Calling all of our adventurous eaters! Buford Highway is our go-to for a seriously delicious (and seriously cheap) meal. BuHi is a corridor full of incredible international food options – think: real-deal Chinese to Mexican to Malaysian to Thai. A few hits: La Mei Zi (Chinese) Mamak (Malaysian) Northern China Eatery (Chinese, Dumplings) Canton House (Dim Sum) Lee’s Bakery (Vietnamese) Tum Pok Pok (Thai)
For some outside time, check out Piedmont Park and walk the Beltline. The Beltline is a paved path that connects several neighborhoods on the eastside of Atlanta (including Inman Park, Poncey Highlands, Old Fourth Ward). There are restaurants and breweries plotted along the way if you get thirsty or hungry!
Craving something sweet? This bakeshop has three different locations in East Atlanta, and all offer a delicious menu of sweet and savory pastries. Do NOT sleep on the croissants. They are the best in town.
Tacos and Coffee? Yes please! This spot is not to be missed in you're staying close to the east side.
A newer food hall in the ATL area (Atlanta loves it's food halls). Enjoy food like Tacos, Thai, Burgers, etc. It also boasts an excellent cocktail bar, Jojo's Beloved.
Soak up Atlanta's pride and joy when it comes to art & culture. The High Museum is a must-visit during downtime. Pro Tip: Walk down to Politan Row before or after your visit (the foodhall is just two blocks south!)
Craving Jewish deli classics? Look no further than General Muir, located near Emory University. Between the bagels and schmear, a killer french toast, and irresistible french fries, you will leave full and oh so happy.
Margarita? Ay si! This is our go-to place for street tacos and delicious margs. Plus it's a Ford Fry restaurant so you KNOW it's good.
Enjoy one of the best views of Atlanta and Buckhead while sipping a cocktail and noshing on some light bites. The Bowtie is Ericha's personal favorite.
A good bistro just off Chastain Park. Enjoy coffee, pastries, brunch and full-service dinner. If you're feeling a post-meal walk, the trail around Chastain Park clocks in at about 2 miles start-to-finish.
For a healthy fix, check out Flower Child. The glow bowl is so delicious
One of the best historical sites in all of Atlanta, get to see the church where Martin Luther King Jr. was a pastor before his assassination in 1968. This church is a huge part of the DNA of Atlanta.
You know the drill.
Taste all the different flavors of Coke from around the globe. This is such a fun activity.
Another favorite of ours! Fun fact: It's the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere. Don't miss the Whale Shark exhibit!
Before, during, or after wandering along the Beltline, stop in at this old Sears building-turned food hall and retail space! A few favorites include: HF Burger, Five Daughters Doughnuts, Minero, Sweetgreen, Pancake Social.
