This is not the typical girl meets guy at a bar story. This is a story about two individuals, going out, purposely not looking to meet anyone, and meeting the love of their lives. We met at a bar called The Wharf, in Miami. Picture it: It's Friday, December 22nd, 2017--girl goes out for some Happy Hour drinks at The Wharf, in Miami. Girl skipped Godson's birthday party, because her Matron of Honor convinced her to go out and have young fun. Boy drives ALL the way from Broward, with the Best Man, to check out a new spot in Miami. Boy spots girl while girl is taking pictures with her friends and smiles at girl. Girl ignores guy staring at her from across the bar. Guy tries to grab girl's attention as she walks past him, stepping into girl’s path. Girl succesfully navigates around guy standing in her way. Fast forward a couple of hours. Girl is sitting at a section of the bar roped off from the rest of the general public. Girl sees someone trying to get her attention. Guy is waving at girl from the other side of the rope, signaling for the girl to come talk to him. Girl tells guy to come talk to her. Guy hesitates, due to the ropes. Girl tells guy to just limbo under them, he's "not going to get tased." Guy and Best Man come to the girl's table. Guy is nervous and wearing ripped jeans. Guy’s first words are along the lines of "Come here often?" Girl is sarcastic and dismissive. Did I mention guy was wearing ripped jeans? Guy is getting nowhere fast with his lines. Best man comes to the rescue, helping guy get girl's number and tells girl to easen up, “he’s a good guy. Te lo prometo.” Girl easens up. Guy loses his nervousness (but is still wearing ripped jeans). Guy starts getting sarcastic back. Girl sees a wit for wit match. They talk/banter for hours, easily and without any lack of topics. Girl's friends get hungry and pull her away, without girl being able to say good bye. Guy texts girl that night, letting girl know he had a great time just talking. 🖤
