Our wedding festivities will commence on the 29th of March, 2026. These few days that we will have away together will be filled with traditional ceremonies, cultural exploration and fun together as friends and family. The Wedding Festivities

9:00 am

We will depart Delhi around 9 a.m. to Jaipur via Coach. The approximate travel time from Delhi - Jaipur is ~4 hours.

Welcome Event

Smart Casual

Please join us on our arrival day for welcome drinks and a light supper for everyone to settle in and get to know one another better.

Turmeric Ceremony

11:00 am - 2:30 pm

Traditional Dress - Colours are White and/or Yellow

The turmeric ceremony, is a traditional wedding custom that is performed as a cleansing ritual for the bride and groom. Guests will apply turmeric to the bride and groom's skin to cleanse them in preparation for their marriage.

Henna and Sangeet Ceremony

5:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Traditional Dress | Saree's , Ghagra Choli ( Skirt & Top) , Chudidhar ( pajama and long top) and Kurti's for men

The Mehendi ceremony (Henna) is a vibrant South Asian pre-wedding ritual symbolizing good luck, love, fertility, and prosperity, where henna is applied to the bride's hands and feet for beauty and blessings, offering a joyful occasion for the bride to relax with female relatives before marriage. It signifies the depth of the couple's bond (darker henna means stronger love), protects against evil, brings health, and creates an opportunity for family bonding through music, dance, and stories.

Jaipur Sightseeing

Our tour company will take you out for a day of sightseeing in the city of Jaipur, known as the Pink City. The tour will take you to many palaces including the ancient fort known as Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal ( Wind palace) and give you the opportunity to see elephants & explore Jaipur city ( also known as The Pink City). There will also be a stop for lunch (PYO), and stops for shopping for local goods.

Varmala (Wedding) & Indo Western Party

6:30 pm - 11:45 pm

Black Tie | You can wear either Western Black Tie or Traditional Indian Dress

The Varmala (or Jaimala) ceremony is a vibrant, early part of an Indian wedding where the bride and groom exchange floral garlands, symbolizing their acceptance of each other and the start of their marital journey. Join us for and elaborate dinner, dancing (both Indian and western music) drinks and just lots of fun!

Visit to Agra and the Taj Mahal

Travel Clothes

This trip commences the formal tourism part of the festivities. The tour costs will be no greater than $350 AUD pp and includes transport, entrances to tourism sites, accommodation and breakfast during the course of the tour. This part of the trip is PYO, and further instructions on payment will be provided closer to time. We will depart Jaipur City via Coach to Agra to visit the historic Taj Mahal. The approximate travel time to Agra is 4 hours. We will stay overnight in Agra.

Delhi Sightseeing

Travel Clothes

We will travel together from Agra to Delhi for a day of sightseeing and our final destination for our wedding party. The tour company will cover a number of historic places in Delhi before dropping you off at a hotel in Delhi.

Checkout and farewells

10:00 am

Guest can either depart from Delhi to return home or continue your holiday plans somewhere else. Everyone is free to check out at their convenience.
