We're Getting Married!

When Lucas and Victoria met, they only knew what the other looked like from the bridge of the nose up 😷 Lucas and Victoria met as servers in DC Lucas and Victoria's first date was at Reliable Tavern where, through a series of unfortunate events, including but not limited to the shattering of multiple glasses and a lack of simple syrup, two daiquiris took upwards of 20 minutes. Thankfully this gave Lucas a nice bit of time to tell Victoria about his “cult school” Lucas and Victoria grew up 293 miles apart Lucas and Victoria are both big fans of steak, and agree that rare is the only way to go! Lucas and Victoria love playing the NYT daily games together. Their favorite is Strands and their opening Wordle word is always "Grape"

What is the first word you think of when describing the other person? Victoria: Kind Lucas: Driven What is one of your favorite memories of the other person? Victoria: A couple of years ago, I had a bit too much to drink at a party and was feeling not so hot when we got home. After getting sick, I decided that I was sleeping on the bathroom floor that evening. When I told Lucas I wasn't going to bed, he grabbed two pillows, two blankets, and slept on the floor with me. Even pre-vows, he takes "in sickness and in health" seriously! Lucas: Our first date What is something about the other person that makes you proud? Victoria: Thinking about his growth in bartending & hospitality. Watching his passion and development over the years has nearly brought me to (happy) tears on a handful of occasions Lucas: Whenever we visit a place where Victoria works, everyone is always very excited to see her. I think it's evidence of how much of an impact she has wherever she goes. What's something you know will always make the other person laugh? Every time I emit some audible nonsense, Victoria feels compelled to unintelligibly respond. This goes on for some time and inevitably deteriorates into giggles and laughter What is one difference between us that you absolutely love? Victoria: He is much better at staying in the present than I am. I'm great at overthinking, and always feel the need to plan 12 steps ahead. He's great at keeping me focused on the moment at hand Lucas: I like that she loves planning. She always has everything so organized and systematized. What is your first memory of the other person?
