New York weather in September is generally pleasant and comfortable, with temperatures cooling as the city transitions from summer to autumn. Daytime temperatures range between mid-60s to mid-70s, and nights can drop into the 50s. You’ll want a light jacket or sweater for the evenings.
We will be providing transportation to and from both the Opus and the Sonesta, where we have our room blocks. Uber and Lyft, while available in White Plains, are extremely limited for pick up from Blue Hill at Stone Barns, so please plan ahead if you will not be using the transportation provided.
Blue Hill at Stone Barns will have valet service available upon guest arrival.

Transportation will be provided to and from Red Hat on the River. Buses will depart from both the Opus and the Sonesta at 6:00 pm and will be available to return guests to the hotels at the end of the evening. General parking will also be available.
Dinner, light bites, dessert, and an open bar will be available to our guests on both nights, including the welcome party. Come hungry!
Please make sure to note this on your RSVP and the kitchen will accommodate you.
We highly recommend the chef's book, "The Third Plate: Field Notes on the Future of Food" by Dan Barber. Barber was also featured on the second episode of Chef's Table on Netflix.
