FAQs

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

We thought we could count on Arizona for sunshine, but October has been a little wonky! The celebrations are still on, and we’re working with the ranch on weather plans for the weekend. We’ll post updates here and message you directly if there’s a change to where we’re meeting. Friday’s cowboy cookout is casual western: jeans and boots are perfect! Bring a warm layer or jacket in case we’re outside.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Friday is casual, jeans and boots are perfect. Saturday is Western chic: cocktail attire with a western touch. Think dresses or skirts with boots, or dress pants and a button-down. Bolo ties are welcome too. Western flair is encouraged, but not required. We're doing warm desert colors with the flowers and decor - rust, terracotta, burgundy, dusty rose, camel, sage - if you want to dress with that in mind, but wear whatever you feel good in. Sunday brunch is come as you are.

Question

Is this a costume wedding?

Answer

Nope. We love Halloween but this is not a costume party. The date is meaningful to us for its older, deeper roots. That said, if you want to channel some moody autumn energy in what you wear... go for it.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes! Families are welcome. The ranch is great for kids and the cookout with s'mores is basically made for them. Kids' meals are available at the wedding reception too.

Question

When should I get there Friday?

Answer

Get to the ranch with enough time to settle in before the haywagon departs from the Corral at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30. The Cowboy Cookout runs from 6–9 p.m.

Question

Do I need a car?

Answer

If you’re staying at the ranch, you can definitely get away without one since everything for the wedding is there. The ranch can also arrange transportation from the Phoenix airport with advance notice. If you’re staying somewhere else or want to explore Wickenburg, we suggest renting a car.

Question

What about food and dietary restrictions?

Answer

Saturday dinner is a buffet with gluten-free and dairy-free options available. If you have other dietary restrictions, email Victoria at victoria.c.mcpherson@gmail.com and we will make sure you are taken care of.

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

You being there is the gift. We know a lot of you are traveling for this and that means everything to us. If you'd also like to celebrate with a gift, our registry is up on this site now under the Registry tab.

Question

By when do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 1, 2026 through the RSVP tab on this site. If you have any dietary restrictions, there's a spot to let us know when you RSVP!
