Spend A Day In Downtown Chicago
Do all the classic tourist things in Chicago - see the Cloudgate which Chicagoans affectionately call the Bean, walk the Navy Pier, visit some museums, see the light show at Buckingham Fountain, see the faces on Crown Fountain and more. You can take the Metra train from Tinley Park, 80th Ave and get off at the LaSalle Street Station.

This is a great free Zoo in the North part of Chicago. There are many great restaurants nearby.

Tinley Park Block Party -Sunday Activity
When: Noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 21 2024 Where: Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Avenue Let's keep the party going! The Tinley Park Block Party takes place the third weekend in July along Oak Park Avenue, and features food and free family fun such as tropical bands on two stages, food vendors, beverages and a lot more!
Chicago Architecture Boat Tour - Monday Activity
Float the river through the heart of Chicago and take in the sights of some iconic buildings along the way. Ozinga Field - Tuesday Activity
We love this minor league baseball team, "The Thunderbolts." On Tuesday July 23rd, Victoria will be singing the US National Anthem. The game starts at 6:35 p.m. This is the stadium where Victoria has been singing the national anthem for the last 15 years. Free tickets to all who would like to attend, just let Kuyper or Victoria know before the wedding, so that tickets can be saved for you at the box office. It truly is a fun and wonderful place to visit in the summer.

If you would like to visit a larger baseball stadium, try seeing the Chicago White Sox. You can take the metra train and get off at 35th street. There is a Game on July 26th, if you are still in town.
