What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Please note that it is summer in Florida and, weather permitting, the wedding will take place outside. Temperatures will most likely be in the 80s and 90s with high humidity. In short, we recommend you not wear long sleeves if at all possible. It is also likely to rain at least once during the day.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Our theme is tropical elegance. The wedding party will be wearing coordinated colors of navy blue and pink. Zach also asks, respectfully, that ladies do not wear white as that color is reserved for his special bride.

Can I take pictures and post them on social media?

Answer

For the ceremony, we respectfully ask that you put away all electronics and do not take pictures. Our event is an ‘Unplugged Ceremony.’ We have hired a wonderful photographer who will be documenting the event, and we promise to share all the special photos with you. However, guests may take as many pictures as they would like during the cocktail hour and reception. Feel free to post these photos on social media: #APalmerPromise

Are the wedding ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Both will occur at The Club At The Strand. When you enter the club, procede down the main road until you reach the clubhouse (on the right-hand side). It is about a 5 minute drive after entering the gate.

Will drinks be offered at the reception?

Answer

The reception will feature a cash-only bar. Complementary non-alcoholic beverages will be provided during the duration of the event.

Will the wedding be indoors or outside?

Answer

Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony will occur outside, but the reception will occur inside. Please be sure to stay hydrated regardless as the temperatures will be in the upper 80s and 90s with high humidity.

Where can I get a hotel room with the rest of the guests?

Answer

Look under the website’s ‘Travel’ tab. There are two options: the Marriott and the Hilton. Both have reduced rates given the special occasion.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

Following the ceremony, a cocktail hour will occur on the veranda before guests will be seated for the reception. We ask that extended family members stay seated following the ceremony’s conclusion for family pictures (don’t worry, we will remind you the day of).

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please try to arrive at The Strand about 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony. If the ceremony takes place outdoors, you may wait inside the Clubhouse until about 10-15 minutes before the start.

I am coming down early. What can I do before Saturday?

Answer

We have listed several of our favorite spots on the ‘Things To Do’ tab here on the website. Feel free to check these out! In general, Naples boasts a multitude of wonderful shops (especially downtown), restaurants, and beaches.

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

You will be missed! As soon as you know you cannot make it, please RSVP ‘no’ so we can plan accordingly (we will be sending out the invitations/RSVP in May).
