Our love story began in the most unexpected way...on Facebook! One day, Victor sent Whitney a friend request and a simple "Hello, Whitney!" Whitney, however, wasn’t ready to engage just yet. In fact she ghosted him for three days! But something about his messages lingered, and eventually, she came back. Little did she know, that small moment of connection on social media would be the start of something that would change both of their lives forever. At the time, Whitney was ready to give up on love. She had been through seasons of disappointment, feeling like love might not be in her future. But Victor came into her life at just the right moment, as if by divine appointment. As they started talking, they quickly discovered how much they had in common. Both shared a deep, abiding love for God and a passion for ministry. As ministers in the AME Zion Church, their faith was not just a part of their lives, it was the foundation. They found themselves discussing everything from theology to their dreams for the church, quickly becoming close friends. Their friendship was rooted in a mutual love for ministry and the church, but it didn’t take long for that friendship to grow into something much deeper. What started as a simple online connection blossomed into a love story centered on their shared calling and faith. Victor’s patience and Whitney’s openness paved the way for a love that felt both surprising and perfectly timed. Now, as they look back, they see how God’s hand was in every moment of their journey. Both ministers in the AME Zion Church, their love for each other is deeply intertwined with their love for God. They’ve walked through life’s highs and lows together, growing stronger in their faith and in their love. Today, they are madly in love and ready to step into the future as partners in both life and ministry. The rest, as they say, is history, but their journey is only just beginning.
