Things To Do

This is a list of our favourite places to go and things to do. We haven't included the regular touristy things, as I'm sure you'll all be researching that on your own!

Rockaway Beach

Rockaway Beach, NY

For the British among you, a great beach, for the Aussies, a fine beach. You can get the ferry from Wall St pier or the A train. Couple good bars for food and drink on the beach front

Comedy Cellar

117 Macdougal Street, New York, NY 10012
, (212) 254-3480

We love the comedy cellar and have been many times. You need to book in advance, but expect a good laugh and sometimes famous alumni show up!

The High Line

New York, NY 10011
, (212) 500-6035

If you haven't walked the highline, it's worth a trip. Stop for a drink on the south end up top of the Standard at the Boom Boom Room for a great view, or downstairs at The Brass Monkey for something a little more down to earth

Sleep No More

530 West 27th Street, New York, NY 10001
, (212) 904-1880

This is an immersive theater experience at The McKittrick Hotel. You need to buy tickets in advance.

, (646) 454-9045

Great breakfast spot!

Doughnut Plant

, (212) 505-3700 ext. 220

They have several locations across the city, but we believe the best doughnuts in town

Brooklyn Crab

24 Reed Street, Red Hook, NY 11231
, (718) 643-2722

Ride a Citi bike along the Brooklyn waterfront to Brooklyn Crab (bike path the whole way). The Brooklyn Crab is a great outdoor bar/Crab shack with Cornhole and other games.

Van Brunt Stillhouse

6 Bay Street, Red Hook, NY 11231
, (718) 852-6405

Van Brunt Stillhouse whiskey tasting - As you all know, Joe and I love a Whiskey, and this is one of our favorites, if you're heading down by the Brooklyn Crab, this spot is worth a stop in, and a tour/tasting.

Pig Beach

480 Union Street, Gowanus, NY 11231

Pig Beach - Another great outdoor Beer Garden/Food/Outdoor Games spot in Brooklyn.

Prospect Park

Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215

Walk around Prospect Park - Beautiful all year around, but always buzzing with activity in the Summer.

Cecconi's Dumbo

55 Water Street, Dumbo, NY 11201

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

60 Furman Street, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

Great diner for a quiet, inexpensive, but great breakfast

Vic and Joe's local pub, you can sit our front and watch the world go by, or at the bar to watch sports - get an order of the boneless (or bone in if that's your style) buffalo wings, in our opinion, the best in town

Brooklyn Heights Promenade

Pierrepont Place, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

Arguably one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline from the Promenade. The neighbourhood is also beautiful with notable residents such as Matt Damon, Emily Blunt & John Krasinski, Adam Driver and many more.
