Mother of the Bride
My mom and I share a love for obsessive cleanliness, Penn State, and annoying the crap out of my dad. While we deviate a bit on her other loves (Philly sports, all things pink and sparkles, and shopping), she has always been a very devoted and caring mom with a knack for unintentionally lightening a mood by doing or saying something goofy.
Mother of the Groom
My mom raised me to be the man I am today. Her unwavering guidance, patience, and discipline (yes, she washed my mouth out with soap) instilled in me the values that I hold dear. Thank you for always loving and supporting Tanner and me.
Father of the Bride
I've gotten so much from my dad, my love for being outdoors, my lame sense of humor, my taste in music, my road rage (much to my mother's disdain), and my curiosity for the world around me. Growing up, my dad was exactly what a great girl dad should be, someone that provides unconditional support, is always there for every game, concert, and school event, and treats their little girl like a princess.
Father of the Groom
My dad passed away back in 2014. He was one of the best men I knew and taught me more things than I can remember. I think about you all the time and hope you are happy up there with Grandma and Grandpa. I love you.
Maid of Honor
Jo and I became friends while interning together in Orlando before my Senior year of college. We got pizza after a night out and she was so amazed by my capability to house the amount of food that I did that we've been friends ever since. Jo has always been the Rachel to my Monica: my first adulthood roommate, my best friend, and a rare heart of gold kind of person. I don't know how I would've gotten through the start of adulting without her, and she is one of the most important people in my life.
Best Man
Tanner is the best brother a person could ever ask for. While there is a large age gap between the two of us (6 years) we grew up horseplaying, goofing off, and of course fighting. Through thick and thin, we have grown closer and I wouldn't want anyone else standing here next to me. I am so proud of the man you have grown up to be.
Bridesmaid
As cousins that were born only two months apart, Maeghan and I quite literally grew up together. I've had to hear countless stories from my parents of how I used to knock her over and steal her toys while we were babies since I was older, but I like to think our friendship has grown since then. Maeghan was also the only person in our Presidential Traverse crew that knew about Cody's proposal plan, and she played her part exceptionally well.
Groomsman
Cale and I were like brothers growing up. When you live right next to one another, you naturally see each other a lot. Whether we were playing basketball in our Grandpa's back yard, riding four wheelers around the fields, hunting at the ranch, or on a boat at the lake, Cale and I would find a way to goof off. Thank you for always having my back.
Bridesmaid
Nat and I met in college and became friends during an AIAA trip to the Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio. I also have to assume we're the only people on earth with fond memories of Dayton, Ohio. Nat is such a bubbly, kind person, and most importantly, she's the kind of friend that is always there, whether it's been 2 minutes or 2 years. Married life is something we talked about over wine all those years ago, and starting to experience that together has been a true joy.
Groomsman
I've known Colton since I was a little kid. He, Cale, and I grew up raising hell for our parents (and Cale's cat). After knowing him for so long (and living with him for several years), I can confidently say that Colton is one of the best guys you will ever meet, despite his hatred for card games and not knowing how to answer a phone. If you ever need some concrete poured or need a laugh, give Colton a holler.
Bridesmaid
Emily and I met in Orlando through Johanna, who jokingly introduced us because in her words, I didn't have enough girl friends and would need more people in my bridal party in the future. I guess Jo was right, because Emily has become a great friend of ours. Emily's run races with me, gone to a UF & A&M game with us and Cody's family, watched Cody and I graduate from UF, helped us move apartments (in return we still call the drink fridge that used to be in our guest room in our Florida apartment, "Emily's beer fridge"), and has never let a holiday pass without sending me an emoji-filled text forward.
Groomsman
Tristen and I knew each other growing up, but we got a lot closer after living together for several years in college. The long nights playing MW3 while cracking a cold one got us through the endless engineering exams. During calmer times, we would always find something to do, usually in Tristen's grandpa's fields. Tristen is the kind of guy who will always be there with tools in hand if you need him.
Bridesmaid
Tamara is that cool older cousin that shows you the ropes of navigating through life (like when she showed me which alcohols were which before going to college so I knew what I'd be getting myself into, even though I was too chicken to try them at the time lol). She has always been a great role model for me, especially now as an adult, showing me how to balance a career and family life while being dedicated to both.
Groomsman
I met Remington in college and he is one of the most down to earth guys you will ever meet. Rem is always trying new things. Since I've known him, he has taken fencing, learned guitar, participated in multiple races, and much more. Rem is dedicated to his family, friends, and career, and I expect he will go far in whichever direction he sets his eyes on.
Usher
As an adult, Jonathan is such a sweet and kind person (the kind of guy who would run over a scarecrow for you, IYKYK), but I still remember the little kid that was always going 100 miles an hour everywhere, particularly in laps around his parent's block on his bike pretending to be an airplane while we played Air Traffic Controller in the front yard. Naturally, he now holds an A&P license and is enrolled in flight school.
Usher
I met Carson in college. We spent many days and nights in the Bright Building trying (pretending) to study when we were actually just wasting time debating the Star Wars universe. While we have traded in the weekend beers at Northgate for the more down to earth local breweries in DFW, there isn't a funner guy to hang out with.
Usher
Benjamin was one of the only cousins that I was old enough to really remember when he was little. As a kid, I'm pretty sure he lived for hot dog night at Lake Monster games. As an adult, he is now a college student at WPI with one of the coolest majors I've ever heard of, and my big cousin heart is so proud of him. He was also the only person (other than a Mt. Washington Observatory employee) to see Cody and I get engaged.
Usher
Zach and I met in college after Rem introduced us. He is one of the best guys I have ever met and was (usually) the adult of our group. Zach and I would workout together in the morning, even though I could only do a small portion of his intense workouts, and he may have picked me up a time or two from Northgate. I could not ask for a better friend.
Escorting Mother of the Bride
Always happy to talk about cars and airplanes, Justin, in true eldest brother fashion, has been a trailblazer for his younger brothers. One of those trails led him to Florida to one of the most prestigious aeronautical colleges in the country. Aside from obviously being a proud cousin, I'll always be glad that move let me see him, and eventually Jonathan, a little bit more.
Flower Girls
Victoria's little cousins that will be the sweetest Flower Girls! As evidenced by Ella tossing flower petals all over in this picture we took after asking them to be flower girls, they're clearly in the roles they were born to play.
