Jeffrey and Vianey have been friends since 2003 thanks to a friendship with Jeffrey’s brother, Artie. Both attended Montwood High School sharing similar activities such as Aca-Dec, theater, and the famous LAN parties. Flashforward to Aug. 2018, on the rare chance that Vianey logged into social media, Jeffrey messaged her that he would be visiting Dallas and asked to meetup, to which Vianey replied back affirming their rendezvous. In Dallas, after catching up over Korean BBQ, they moseyed on over to the Flying Saucer, a local watering hole, where they each confessed their ‘teen-years’ crush on one another back in high school which was followed by a kiss! Vianey then knew Jeffrey was something special and pondered if he thought the same of her. Much to her gleeful surprise, though Jeffrey was in El Paso earning his PhD. in Chemistry at UTEP, he knew he had to kindle the spark he felt with her and phoned her…and the rest is history.

After many fun adventures throughout their 3 year long-distance relationship, it was on September 24th, 2021 at the Ft. Worth Oktoberfest, when Jeffrey got on one knee and popped THE question. Through tears of joy, Vianey said, “Yes!” and they then moved in together back in El Paso to start their new chapter.
