FAQs

Here are answers to some of the most common questions about our wedding. We hope this helps you as you plan for our special day. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We kindly request that guests wear cocktail attire for our wedding. For men, this means a suit or a formal button-down shirt. For women, we suggest a cocktail dress, which can be knee-length, midi, or a chic long dress. Please note that the bridal party will be wearing dusty blue. To help them stand out, we kindly ask guests to avoid wearing similar shades unless part of the bridal party. Since the ceremony will be held outdoors (weather permitting) and the event takes place in late March, it may be a bit chilly. We recommend layering and bringing a light jacket or shawl for the ceremony to ensure you’re comfortable while celebrating with us. The venue also provides a coat closet - so if you bring one, there's a place to leave it during reception!

Question

Is the ceremony and reception at the same venue?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will be held outdoors, weather permitting, with a beautiful view of the river. After the ceremony, it's just a few steps to the mansion located right behind the ceremony site, where the cocktail hour and reception will take place. Very convenient!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:30 PM, so we kindly ask guests to arrive between 3:00 and 3:20 PM to ensure the best possible experience. Beverages will be available, and you can take in the beautiful view of the venue before the ceremony begins!

Question

What time does the ceremony/reception end?

Answer

The ceremony is expected to end around 3:30 PM, after which we’ll move inside for cocktail hour from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A little before 5:00 PM, we’ll begin the reception, which will run until 9:00 PM. If you’re still in the mood to celebrate, we’ll have an after-party at the hotel bar from 9:30 to 11:30 PM!

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Pen Ryn Estate - Mansion is a beautiful venue with an amazing outdoor view. If the weather permits, the ceremony will be held outdoors to take advantage of the stunning surroundings. However, we know that March can be unpredictable, so if the weather isn’t ideal, we will move the celebration indoors. Either way, it will be a beautiful setting!

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Pen Ryn Mansion offers ample parking for all guests. Upon arriving at the property, please follow the signs labeled with the word 'Mansion' to guide you to the back. The property features multiple venues, so you’ll first pass Pen Ryn Belle Voir Manor. Ours is Pen Ryn Mansion, located just after Belle Voir Manor. The parking lot is conveniently located to the side of the mansion entrance. If you're staying at the hotel, don’t worry about parking— we’ve got you covered! We'll take you to and from the venue.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

You may bring a plus-one only if it is specifically noted on your wedding invitation. We appreciate your understanding as we finalize our guest list.

Question

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Although we would love to have all of our little ones around, we kindly ask that you only bring children if they are specifically included on your invitation (e.g., “The [XXX] Family”). We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Who should I contact if I have more questions or last-minute updates?

Answer

You can contact the bride, Patricia, at (484) 215-3627 or via email at pjvianar@gmail.com. She’s happy to help!
