She was a clown, he was an astronaut. Three years later, it seems the astronaut costume would have been better suited for her and the clown for him. That Halloween, they didn't realize they had met the person they had been waiting for their entire life. About six months later (way too long if you ask me) they began to date.

It was Thanksgiving night and Chris being the stand-up grandson he is offered to drive his grandmother home after dinner, he had made the plan a week ago to drive her home. There was a reason he wanted to drive her home, just them two, so he could ask her to take him to her jeweler to buy an engagement ring. Overcome with joy, grandma accepted the invitation. Fast forward a few days before Christmas, Chris called the jeweler, Doug, while getting lunch to tell him he'd take the ring. Two hours later, his boss called him into his office to tell him that he was being promoted, Merry Christmas indeed! It is the morning of April 17th and the flight to Mexico takes off in about an hour. Chris and Lana get a ride to the airport by Chris' mom, neither Lana nor his mom knew what was to happen later that night. In what felt like the longest flight ever, and after getting the green-light and not having to empty out his bag at customs, the ring was smuggled into Mexico and the couple was on their way to the resort. The two decided to head to the pool to relax, Chris left behind his watch and phone so he wouldn't have the ability to check the time. Of course, there was a clock behind the bar and Chris thought it was broken. Needless to say, time was moving slowly. The plan was to eat at 7pm, Lana had no clue there was going to be a private dinner on the beach. She took a nap while Chris paced the hotel room. Lana decided to get room service for coffee and take her time to get ready, they were late, which was a first for Lana. They went to the lobby where someone met them to walk down to the beach. He handed Lana "The Final Rose", Chris could see her stiffen and knew she had no idea what to expect. When they got to dinner there was a photographer taking pictures nearby. After they sat down, he came over and offered to take pictures, he was in on the plan. They stood up, walked closer to the ocean, Chris said something resembling English and dropped to a knee. She said YES!
