Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will take place at the Lodge at Brother’s Cove, a beautiful and spacious cabin venue with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains. Immediately following the ceremony, guests will be welcomed to a cocktail hour on site overlooking the scenery to enjoy the evening and each other's company. The wedding reception will follow during sunset and through the late evening.

Question

Where should guests stay while visiting Gatlinburg?

Answer

On site are over 50 cabins with beautiful views and a variety of accommodations to fit the needs of any guest. A family can book a cabin to themselves, guests can book and share a cabin with friends, or big parties up to 20 people can book a large cabin -- it is entirely up to you! In addition, a shuttle service will be provided on the day of the wedding to escort you to and from your cabin for your convenience when staying on site. More information on booking cabins can be found under the "Travels" tab on our wedding website, or by visiting https://brotherscove.com/cabin-rentals. Just make sure if you book a cabin that you call to book and mention our wedding party for a 10% off discount!

Question

What time should I arrive to the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early, and feel free to socialize with other guests before the ceremony begins.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the wedding ceremony and reception, please wear formal wedding attire. For women, suggested attire is long dresses or dress pants. Both flats and heels are appropriate as a majority of the event will be spent indoors. For men, a suit is suggested. If you are feeling the Christmas spirit, you are welcome to wear festive socks, ties, etc!

Question

What will the weather be like on the wedding day?

Answer

The Gatlinburg and Sevierville area enjoys cool, wet winters. When January rolls around, cold temperatures arrive with some amount of rainfall and snow. The average daily temperature sits at a high of 49⁰F and a low of 26⁰F, perfect for the feel of a Christmas wedding. Just be sure to dress warm and pack snow gear in the event of snowfall during your stay.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Oh la la. Dates are more than welcome to accompany you to our special day. Please make sure if you do bring additional guests, specify who will be accompanying you when you RSVP. This will ensure we can make accommodations for everyone in attendance.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love all your children and would be delighted to have them join us as we celebrate our union as one! That is why we chose to have our wedding near Gatlinburg: a town with plenty of exciting activities for children and families, including indoor water parks, mountain coasters, and treetop theme parks! And don't worry parents, there is a wide variety of distilleries and wineries in the area where you to can have some fun as well. More information on family-friendly and adult activities can be found on the “Things To Do” tab of our wedding website.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). Please RSVP by September 1st, 2022 using the online RSVP on our website. Simply follow the "RSVP" tab and complete!

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

If you have any dietary restrictions, please note them in your RSVP and we will be sure to make the best accommodations possible.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

If anyone knows the bride, they know she loves taking photos! Feel free to take photos during the cocktail hour and wedding reception. However, out of respect for the bride and groom, please refrain from any photography during the wedding ceremony. There will be professional photographers present to capture the big day, and we want all our friends and family to live in the moment!

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

There will be lots of family and friends attending the wedding. While we are not formally hosting additional events, feel free to meet with others and make plans as you wish! We love to see our loved ones making memories and enjoying their time.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is gift enough. However, if you would still like to send a wedding gift to the bride and groom, you can easily visit our registry by clicking on the "Registry" tab for all the details.
