Our Story

It all started in New Zealand, when two Canadians from neighbouring provinces, moved across the world to study. Little did they know, they’d find something so special🤍 The first day we met, we ended up exploring Auckland together. Our very first adventure (non-official dates, we would go on to call them) took us all the way to the top of the Sky Tower. Over time, a sweet friendship began to grow. Slowly, quietly, and a little bit inevitably. Of course, that didn't happen overnight. I used to tease him that we weren’t even friends, just "classmates". And I didn’t make it easy for him to be upgraded to "friend" status. He had to earn that title, one coffee and study session at a time. We became study buddies, cafe regulars, and experts at finding “totally legitimate” reasons to hang out. Over break, we went back home to our separate provinces, but that didn’t stop us from visiting each other (a lot). We were just friends, of course… the kind who travel hours to hang out for the weekend. Our friends saw it before we did. Cheering us on from the sidelines, and not-so-subtly nudging us together. After nearly a year of friendship, we finally admitted what everyone else already knew: we were perfect for each other. And now here we are, planning our wedding before even graduating. We both vividly remember (and have a bit of a laugh, looking back) that on the very first day of school, the president of the college said, “Some of you have met the person you’ll spend the rest of your life with today.” We both brushed that off, not thinking that could be us. We've never been so happy about being so wrong🤍
